The team is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the cluster, communication across the UK cluster ecosystem and delivering on key strategic activities identified by the cluster’s Advisory Group. The team is hosted by the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.

Darran and Clark are the space geeks who led on the initial development of the cluster, delivering on Craig’s long-held ambition to see the west of Scotland’s expertise in space technology, systems and services recognised across Scotland, the UK, internationally … and beyond!

Cluster Advisor
Craig is a visionary space engineer, entrepreneur and the founder of Clyde Space, Glasgow’s first space company. He is renowned for his pioneering work in commercialising small satellites, including UKube-1, Scotland’s first satellite, which was launched in July 2014. Craig is also Professor of Practice for Space at the University of Strathclyde, is a non-Exec Director at the Satellite Applications Catapult and sits on the Board of Trustees of the Glasgow Science Centre. He received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2017.

Cluster Manager
A former journalist and management consultant with more than a decade of experience in knowledge exchange and business development. Based at the University of Strathclyde, he is a space geek who has always preferred Star Trek over Star Wars.
